This section includes a Logbook, Protection plans and contact details of support services in your area.
The Logbook offers you the chance to safely record the types of behaviours / incidents that you (or those close to you) are experiencing.
Incidents are not limited to those of a violent nature. Harassment, stalking, destruction of property or a worsening in mental health issues can also be documented.
The Protection Plans will help you to think about and put into place certain measures that may increase your safety.
Logbook
No matter how small you think an incident is, it is important to take a detailed account of what occurred. You should do this as soon after the event as possible. The account should include a description of the person (s), their behaviour as well as the consequences.
Many incidents are single events and never reoccur. However, some incidents may be repeated over time. The behaviour may worsen, become more upsetting or intrusive. It is important that you begin to record all important events from the beginning.
This Logbook includes a number of different sections you can fill out following an incident or a noticed change in another’s behaviour. It includes a number of guided headings that may help you to record important information.
Important factors to record include:
- What happened during the incident
- What behaviours were involved
- Times and dates
- A description of the person (s) along with factors such as; how they acted, clothing, the type of car they were traveling in or any other identifying information
- Description of the behaviour and any effects upon you, those closest to you or your property
- Police report number, the officer’s name and badge number
- Any additional information such as any follow-ups by the police or outcomes from any intervention or support service.

Protection Planning
Protection Plans are very individual guides that can be used in order to increase your own safety as well as others close to you that may be affected by anti-social activity or potentially dangerous behaviour.
These plans should be altered and updated overtime so that it fits your current situation. If possible, it is recommended that you develop or share your plan with at least one other trusted person.
Each protection plan includes guided questions that may help you to develop your own individual plan.
There is also a journal section at the end so that you can include any important additional information.
The protection plan can be used in conjunction with the Logbook.
